A Football & A Tractor Equals Loads of Fun

Step #1: Kick the football around for a little while. Decide your bored and find something new.

Step #2: Dig around the toy box until you find the perfect companion for your football. A tractor??

Step #3: Stand the football up in the tractor, like so.

Step 4: Evaluate--Is the football standing just so?

Step #5: Kick it!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

So much in fact that our kitchen water pipes froze up. Guess that means until they unfreeze, I don't have to worry about cleaning the kitchen! Brandon is trying some "home remedies" to unfreeze them. Don't worry, the house shouldn't burn down.

A Hope & A Prayer (Take 2)

Dear Weather God,

It was quite apparent that my voice was not heard last night. Now, listen...I hear it's suppose to snow tonight and do a little wind thing plus get super-duper cold. Please create blizzard like conditions (even thought the blizzard watch was cancelled). I really need a day off to get some things done around here. Plus Mr. Weather God, I am really behind with my TiVo. I need a whole day to catch up on the new shows.

Your Faithful Follower,
Brooke

A Hope & A Prayer

Dear Weather God,

Please allow enough snow to be on the ground tomorrow morning, where wind can pick it up and create very low visiblity. I really need a day off!

Brooke

Needing Another Day...

This weekend was jam-packed. I need another day off just to recover!

Friday--Jordyn's volleyball game & vegging on the couch

Saturday--Cleaning the house...it was bad! Then a night out for the adults with some friends...wings at Buffalo Wild Wings (I was too chicken to try the hottest sauce, but settled for the 2nd hottest...Yum!) then off to see "Grand Terino." Loved it...not my kind of movie but really loved it!

Sunday--Slept in, laundry, more cleaning, then the dreaded grocery trip (Sam's Club, Wal Mart in Bloomington--never again we will go there!) more laundry, school work.

The only thing that might make me feel better about going to work tomorrow is treating myself to a box of Hostess Cupcakes that I hid in the cabinet!

Home Improvements

So on Sunday night, Brandon said, "I'm going to call the painter and have him paint the bathroom and the back stoop." Well okay then! So the painter came over Monday to check things out and he said he'd be back on Thursday (tomorrow!!) to start. Ummmm...if you know me, it takes me days, years to pick out the perfect paint color. We have the most beautiful shades of taupe draped over the walls all over my house. I just can't help it...I can't get away from taupe, tan, beige or whatever you want to call it! I was adamant over choosing an actual color for both rooms. So, with my sister-in-laws' advice, a pale blue for the bathroom and since I'm a bit crazy these days (maybe the pregnancy hormones surging throughout my veins), a light sage green for the back stoop walls and a darker green for the trim. Ahhh...it makes me teary eyed thinking about it. And I picked these paint colors out in record time...oh maybe like 30 minutes!

So anyways, my husband says to me a little while ago..."I could only rip some of the wall paper off of the back stoop." In my head I'm thinking, "hmmm...wonder how that's going to look with paint on part wall/part wall paper." I looked at him and almost ripped his eyeballs out...well, okay maybe not...but I gave him the look of terror! So I drag myself away from the computer (I was reading The Pioneer Woman) to see what damage was left. My husband thinks he's a funny man getting me all in a tizz because he had ALL of the stupid wall paper torn down. Have I mentioned that I hate home improvements?

Houston...We Have a Problem

Have you ever had something that drove you nuts until you figured it out? You know, like the name of a person or the name of a song...Well, I'm going nuts not being able to find my glasses. I have no idea where they are at!

This morning I was not feeling well at all and trying to get just one more minute of sleep. I was trying to reason with my 2 year old why Mommy could not drag herself out of bed to get him a Poptart and trying to lure him with the best TV station for toddlers....Noggin. Unfortunately, Camden wasn't impressed with my tactics. He hopped off of my bed and was playing with things on my side table. Ya know, like chapstick, lotion, the remote, the telephone (I think he called someone in China)...Well, I heard him playing with my glasses, but was too sick/tired to really care. I don't wear them outside of this house and they sit crooked on my nose plus they are a bit out of style. He really can't hurt them any worse than what they already are. However, I DO wear them to watch TV in bed right before I drift off into dreamland. I succeeded in finding all the other little treasures the little boy was playing with, but for the life of me, can't find those dang glasses. It'll drive me mad.

Oh glasses, where the heck are ya? Camden's not giving up his hiding space other than "mama's glasses are upstairs." Hmmmmm...
